Founder’s Hall Exhibit
Antique furniture and period artifacts to look as it did in 1871
Our Founder’s Hall Exhibit
Founder’s Hall traces the settling and development of the area from the early 19th Century. This exhibit contains a re-creation of the first courthouse in Waycross, an early schoolroom and artifacts relating to a turn of the century utopian community named Ruskin.
In addition, visitors will see sections of “Hilltop,” the first house built in Waycross. Included are parts of the front porch, staircase, and parlor which have been decorated with antique furniture and period artifacts to look as it did in 1871.
