The OHC Art Guild
The OHC Art Guild is an interest group that meets at 7:00 PM the 4th Tuesday of every month. Each meeting contains a program for experienced and budding artists to expand on their techniques and education. These meetings are held at the OHC and are casual, fun, and full of great refreshments.
The OHC Art Guild’s mission is to support the creative endeavors of members and the visual arts in our community in an atmosphere of learning and camaraderie, open to all who are interested in the arts.
Though there are no dues for being a part of the Art Guild, an annual membership with the Okefenokee Heritage Center is required.
Members from all walks of life and with interest in almost all mediums are invited to share their talents with others. Some of our member’s mediums include acrylic, watercolor, oil, wood carving, basket weaving, ceramics, and more. All members who meet the requirements may display their art in the hospital for the enjoyment of patients, employees, and the public. All artists may display their work, within guidelines, at the hospital and OHC Gallery throughout the year, and artists who sell their pieces receive commissions from their work.
The Art Guild is a group of great individuals with a lot of talent and love for the arts and lots of good old fashioned Southern Hospitality. You are most cordially invited to come to share the fun.
